About this Gig

Your camera shut off mid-recording, the battery died, or the card came out, and now the file won't open. The footage is almost always still there. What's missing is the index the player needs to read it. Sony leaves a .RSV file, DJI leaves an MP4 that says "moov atom not found".

I'm a working videographer, I shoot on a Sony FX3, and I built this process after rescuing a two-hour wedding recording. I rebuild the index using a healthy clip from your camera as the template, then go through the whole file to make sure every part plays. Nothing is re-encoded, so you get your original quality back. You see a short preview of your own footage before delivery.

What I need from you: the broken file as it is on the card, and one healthy clip from the same camera at the same settings. Send them as a Drive or Dropbox link, big files are fine.

Being honest: this works when the data was actually written to the card. If the file is empty inside, I'll tell you after a free check and you won't pay for a repair. Your footage stays on my own computer and is deleted after delivery.
