FAQ
What files do I need to send you?
Send your 3D scan data (STL, OBJ, PLY, XYZ point cloud) or clear photos of the physical part with dimensions. For best results, include a ruler or known reference in photos.
What's the difference between "clean CAD" and "parametric CAD"?
Clean CAD = solid model you can view and measure. Parametric CAD = full edit history — change any dimension, hole size, or wall thickness without rebuilding the model. Standard and Premium packages include parametric files.
How accurate is the final model?
We provide a deviation color map comparing your scan to the rebuilt CAD model. Typical tolerance: ±0.1mm for Standard, ±0.05mm for Premium. Tighter tolerances available on request.
Can you reverse engineer without a 3D scanner?
Yes. If you ship the physical part, we arrange professional scanning. Alternatively, detailed photos + manual measurements can work for simple geometries. Contact us first to confirm feasibility.
What if I need the model in a different software?
We deliver native SolidWorks (.sldprt), Siemens NX (.prt), or Fusion 360 (.f3d) files. Universal STEP and IGES exports are included in all packages. Other formats available as extras.
