Do I need to keep my home computer turned on all the time?
If you choose to host the server on your personal home computer (Windows/Mac), yes—the computer must be turned on and connected to the internet for Plex to stream. If you don't want to leave your PC running 24/7, ask me about cheap cloud server rental options instead!
Do you provide the movies, TV shows, or live channels?
No. I strictly provide the technical service of installing and configuring the software automation framework (Plex, Sonarr, Radarr, etc.). You must provide your own media files or content indexers
How does the "one-click download" Watchlist feature work?
It is incredibly simple! Once I set up the Premium tier, you can open Plex on your TV, phone, or tablet, search for a movie, and click "Add to Watchlist." The backend system will automatically detect it, download it, and put it in your library without you touching a computer
Do I need a paid Plex Pass subscription for this to work?
No, the entire automation stack works perfectly with the free version of Plex. However, if you plan to share your server with many friends or need "Hardware Transcoding" for heavy 4K video files, a Plex Pass is highly recommended
What happens if the server stops working or an app breaks later?
While the automation stack is highly stable, software updates or network changes can occasionally cause issues. I offer a dedicated hourly maintenance service on my profile, so you can always hire me down the road to log back in and fix any bugs or updates
Is my data and personal information secure during setup?
Yes, 100%. For home networks, we will use a secure remote desktop tool like AnyDesk, meaning you can watch my screen and monitor exactly what I am doing the entire time. For cloud servers, you can safely change your passwords immediately after I finish the installation
