What exactly do I receive in the Architecture Document?
A single document covering system context, component design, data model, API contracts, technology rationale and diagrams. It is written so your developers can build from it without coming back to me for the missing half.
Do you write code, or only documents?
Both. I have spent 15+ years building the systems I design, and I still write production code. That is why the documents are buildable rather than aspirational. Implementation is a separate engagement - message me and I will scope it.
I already have a system. Can you review it instead of designing a new one?
Yes. That is the web application audit, included in Standard and Premium and available as an extra on Basic. You get the same treatment: what is wrong, what it is costing you, and the order to fix it in.
What do you need from me to start?
What the system has to do, who uses it and at what scale, any technology you are locked into, and your budget and deadline. If you have an existing codebase, read access helps. If you have none of this yet, start with the call.
Will you tell me if my plan will not work?
Yes, in writing. Most of the value here is hearing which parts of a plan will not survive contact with production, and hearing it before the build rather than six months into it.
Which technology stack will you recommend?
Whichever fits the problem and your team. I work across .NET Core, Node.js, Python, Java, React, Angular, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure, AWS or GCP. A stack you cannot hire for is the wrong stack.
