What do you need from me to start?
Please send your final editable manuscript, preferably DOC/DOCX, your chosen trim size, book type, approximate page/word count, and any examples or layout preferences you want me to follow.
Will my book be ready for IngramSpark?
I will prepare the interior around the IngramSpark print specifications relevant to your selected book format and provide the print-ready PDF included in your package.
Do you format both paperback and hardcover books?
Yes. The Standard and Premium packages include interior formatting for paperback and hardcover editions. Basic is intended for one paperback interior.
Do you format books with images, tables or charts?
Yes, depending on their quantity and complexity. Please send the manuscript before ordering if it contains many images, tables, charts, worksheets or other complex elements so I can confirm the appropriate scope.
Can you fix a book that was already formatted?
Yes. I can correct problems involving margins, spacing, page numbering, headers, footers, trim size, bleed, inconsistent typography and other interior layout issues. Please send the existing file first.
Do you design book covers?
This gig focuses on book interior formatting and layout, not original cover design. If you need cover-related work, contact me before ordering so the scope can be confirmed separately.
Can you format my ebook or EPUB too?
Yes. EPUB formatting can be added as a Gig Extra when you need a digital edition alongside your IngramSpark print files.
Can you format novels and nonfiction books?
Yes. Text-based novels, memoirs, self-help books, business books and many nonfiction manuscripts can be formatted. Complex or heavily illustrated books should be reviewed before ordering.
Will you upload my book to my IngramSpark account?
The packages are primarily for preparing your files, not publishing/account management. If you need upload assistance, contact me first so we can determine exactly what support you need.
What if I don't know my trim size?
Send me your manuscript and tell me the type of book you're publishing. I can help you determine an appropriate layout direction before formatting begins.
