About this Gig
Hello! My name is Bastian and writing is both my passion and profession.
As a native German, published author, and experienced university tutor with a Master's degree in English Studies (literature, linguistics, translatology, history, creative writing), I offer reliable
English to German and German to English translation services for
- articles
- advertisement

- academic and scientific work / essays
- Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD theses
Whether you wrote the one perfect ad for your product, the book of your dream (yes, please!), or a piece of academic writing that will change your life - If you let me be your wordsmith, I will tailor my craft according to your needs. I will ensure to convey both the denotation and connotation of your work to help build your literary legacy.
Please have a look at the FAQs for more details. Above that, feel invited to contact me with any special requirements. I'm happy to help.
Kindly consider: I care for quality, not quantity. One-day deliveries are available for texts with up to 3000 words. The translation of a good book or a complete thesis requires an extended delivery time.

FAQ
Do you use any translation programs? Do you outsource?
No, all translations will be done by me, a native German and university teacher. I do not use any programs but take great care to translate both denotation and connotation embedded in your text. Anything else would be unprofessional. Your German text will be error-free.
I am in a hurry! I need something done fast! Can you help?
Of cource. I respond quickly, even if you don't see me as "currently online". If I have time, I will start working on your text straight away.
How do you work? Can you proofread / edit / help me with an existing translation?
I work with Microsoft WORD. If you need assistance with an existing translation, I will correct and comment on your text. You will be ablet to trace all changes that I make and may individually decide whether to accept them. With that, you are always a part of the editing process.
Verwendest Du Korrektur- oder Übersetzungs-Programme? Machst Du die Arbeit selbst?
Ich mache alles selbst. Ich arbeite weder mit technischer noch fremder Hilfe. Vom ersten Anschreiben bis hin zum Abschiedsgruß stehst Du direkt und ausschließlich mit mir in Kontakt. Jedes Projekt, das ich annehme, behandele ich mit Sorgfalt und Ehrgeiz - als wäre es mein eigener Text.

Ongoing collaborationAnother pitch perfect performance by the maestro! What impresses me even more is that Bastian is not afraid to push me — and to push back against me to get my manuscript into as good a shape as humanly possible (and sometimes beyond!). This is clear evidence that he values the end product even more...
