I will design and build a website for your nonprofit or campaign

About this gig
Nonprofits and campaigns get quoted agency money for a site that is four pages and a signup form. This is the version that costs what it should.
Recent work: jenfoxforhouse.com for a Minnesota House race, with a weekly newsletter and yard sign signup behind it. The Hastings Progressives site, plus their CRM, shop, and newsletter. A community newsletter platform for a local publisher. Client portals at emptybar.app. My own portfolio at emptybar.llc.
Included: design, build, mobile layouts, your domain pointed at it with working HTTPS, and newsletter signup wired to the tool you actually use. I do the DNS. You do not get handed a zip file and a good luck.
No templates and no page builders. Plain HTML, CSS, and TypeScript, or Next.js when the site needs a back end. Nothing to update, nothing to break itself in six months, and you own all of it.
Tell me what your organization does, who the site is for, and what you want them to do first.

FAQ
Do you use WordPress or a template?
No. I build in HTML, CSS, and TypeScript, or Next.js when the site needs a back end. It stays fast, there are no plugins to update, and nothing breaks itself six months after launch.
Can you handle the domain and the email signup?
Yes. I point your domain, set the DNS, get HTTPS working, and wire up a newsletter tool such as EmailOctopus or Resend. That is the part that usually stalls these projects for months.
What happens when we need changes after launch?
Revisions during the build are included. After that you can hire me for updates or take the source and do it yourself. The code is plain enough that any developer can pick it up, which is the point.
