A book is judged by its cover but held together by its interior that's the part most people forget, and the part I've spent 5 years mastering. I'm Becky, a US-based children's and picture book formatting specialist. I turn rough manuscripts into polished, print-ready KDP files — proper margins, bleed, trim sizes, and interior layouts young readers love. From picture books to AI-assisted children's books, I make sure your file looks professional and prints clean the first time. I value creativity, communication, and quality, because your success is my priority. Let's bring your vision to life.
FAQ
What do I need to provide to start my children's book illustration?
Please share your manuscript or story summary, character descriptions, preferred illustration style (cartoon, watercolor, or flat), age group, and trim size. The more detail you share, the better I can tailor your children's book illustration and cover design to match your vision perfectly.
Can you design both the cover and interior pages of my children's book?
Yes! My Standard and Premium packages include full children's book illustration — cover art (front, back & spine) plus interior page illustrations. This means you get a complete, consistent children's book illustration package without hiring multiple sellers.
Do you maintain character consistency across all interior pages?
Absolutely! Character consistency is one of the most important parts of professional children's book illustration. I create a character reference sheet before starting interior pages to ensure every illustration in your children's story book looks cohesive and professional.
What illustration styles do you offer for children's book cover and interior art?
I offer cartoon, watercolor, and flat design styles for children's book illustration, children's story book illustration, children's picture book illustration, and children's coloring book cover art. Message me with your preferred style and I'll share samples before you order.
Will I see sketches before you finalize my children's book illustration?
Yes! My Standard and Premium packages include full sketch approval — I'll send you pencil sketches of your cover and interior page illustrations before final coloring begins. This ensures your children's book illustration is exactly right before delivery.
Will my children's book illustration files be ready for Amazon KDP?
Yes! Every children's book illustration package includes KDP-ready print files with correct trim size, bleed, margins, color profile, and resolution. Your cover and interior illustrations will pass Amazon KDP's upload review with zero errors.
Can you illustrate diverse or African children's book characters?
Absolutely! I illustrate diverse characters across all ethnicities, skin tones, and cultural backgrounds for children's book illustration, children's story book illustration, and children's picture book artwork. Representation matters — just describe your characters and I'll bring them to life.
Do I get full commercial rights to my children's book illustration?
Yes! Full commercial rights are included in every package. You can publish, sell, and distribute your children's book illustration anywhere — Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, bookstores, schools, or your own website — with zero restrictions.
Can you also format and layout my children's book after illustration?
Yes! Beyond children's book illustration, I also offer complete children's book formatting and kids layout design as a separate gig. Message me to bundle both services — illustration and formatting — into one custom order for a seamless, print-ready book.
What if I only need a children's book cover illustration without interior pages?
No problem! My Basic package covers a single children's book cover illustration — perfect for authors who already have interior pages and just need a professional, eye-catching cover. Message me first to discuss your exact requirements.
