Hi, I'm Izzy a beta reader and editor with extensive experience in fantasy. When I'm not working with authors, I'm reading fantasy for fun, so I know what makes a world feel immersive and a story genuinely compelling. I offer honest, constructive feedback to help you strengthen your plot, pacing, and world building.
Each package includes a detailed reader report covering plot, flow, characterisation, dialogue, and readability. My goal is to give you thoughtful insights that help your story shine while keeping your voice intact.
This gig focuses on beta reading, but you can add a proofreading extra for just $10 once you've selected your package. For deeper edits or manuscripts over 120,000 words, please message me for a custom offer.

Do you include a proofread?
My gig pricing doesn't include a proofread of your manuscript. However, there is an option to add this as an extra for only $10. You will be able to add this to the gig when you select the appropriate package for your word count.
What format should I send my manuscript in?
I accept MS Word or GoogleDocs as this allows me to organise my initial comments easily.
Do you accept LGBTQI+ stories?
Absolutely! If it's a fantasy novel - I will read it!
Do you accept erotica?
Absolutely! Please mark your project as NSFW in the comments section at the time of making your order - as I prefer to read this content in my home office, rather than in my favourite coffee shop!

I like the level of detail Izzy provided with her feedback. She understood the intended character development and their own individual paths and an emotional connection was trying to establish with the reader. Her suggestions for rhythm improvements and shoring up some of the paragraphs are well-received.

I'm typically used to seeing comments lining manuscripts to point out thoughts as the beta reader goes through the work but Izzy impressed me with a very detailed and digestible summary of her impressions toward my story. I never had trouble pinpointing what sections of the story she was referring to...
