The information I need the most relates to how big this sprite or series of sprites have to be and how many. I can work something out if either piece of information is missing. If you're unsure of the number of sprites, provide the number of 'action cycles' or separate animations needed, if needed.

Any looping action animation you would likely need. Due to the 2D nature of sprites, each direction you might need the sprite to face where it will look entirely different counts as an action cycle. 'Walking' alone may count as 1-2 action cycles for a side-scroller or as 3-4 in a top-down RPG.

Typically I keep it between 4 and 7. However, you have the option to double the number of frames per action with an additional fee.

To acheive the 'retro' look of old games, sprites need to be kept at a low resolution (and the colors may also need to be limited to mimic those old school hardware limitations). Keeping sizes at multiples of 16 in height and width is ideal. A whole NES screen only had a resolution of 256 x 240.

I can give you either one, or both if you'd like, I would personally recommend one or the other. If you need a guide on animating the sprites, I can provide animated GIFs to indicate how the frames can be ordered, seperate from the actual sprite files or sheets.

Yes, Adobe Illustrator files and a selection of other vector-based formats are available on request. If you need any vector files formatted for screen printing, please let me know ahead of time.
