About this gig

I run a hybrid mixing setup that uses the best of both digital and analog mixing. I print mixes and stems through a vintage console and hardware processors, and if the song calls for it, I might run some tracks through my 8 track reel-to-reel tape machine or 4 track cassette recorder to get some additional vibe. I love creative, in-your-face effects, but I always serve the song first and try to do whatever is right to get the best impact out of a track.

I record and mix out of Color Therapy and my own studio, Ian's Room in Portland, OR. Both studios have awesome consoles and multi-track tape recorders with great analog gear, so if you're looking to get some warmth on your recordings, I'm your guy! I use a hybrid approach that gets the best out of both the digital and analog worlds. I specialize in creative rock and rock-adjacent music, but I'm happy to take a look at something outside of that zone.
