About this gig

I create custom static maps that go beyond default GIS styling the kind of cartographic polish that turns raw geographic data into a map people actually want to look at.

Whether you need a simple thematic map for a report, a demographic or environmental map for a presentation, or a full editorial-style map with custom layout and typography, I handle the entire process: data preparation, spatial analysis, and final design in QGIS.

Examples of work I've done: urban thematic maps, land-use change analysis (before/after comparisons), demographic density maps, and hypsometric/terrain maps each built with attention to color, hierarchy, and layout, not just default software output.

What I need from you to get started:

  • The geographic area/region
  • What the map should show (theme, data, or the story you want it to tell)
  • Your data source, if you have one (I can also source public data: IBGE, MapBiomas, GADM, etc.)
  • Any style references or branding guidelines

Let's turn your data into a map worth sharing.

I create thematic maps and cartographic visualizations that turn spatial data into clear, visually compelling stories. My work spans thematic, demographic, environmental, and topographic maps, built with custom layouts, careful color and typography, and a visual hierarchy shaped around what the data needs to say. Behind every map is rigorous spatial analysis: QGIS for cartographic production, Python (GeoPandas, Rasterio) for data prep, ensuring every visual choice is backed by accuracy. With 20+ years of freelance experience, I bring reliable communication and care to every project.
