With over 10 years of experience working with children from childcare centres to 1:1 nannying and an international career, I know firsthand that formal childcare training doesn't always prepare you for the realities of private in-home care.

I thought my childcare background had me fully prepared but I was wrong.

Once I began working as a nanny and babysitter, I faced unexpected and uncertain situations I'd never encountered before. Through those real-life challenges, I learned to adapt, communicate clearly with families, and eventually developed my own systems and safety policies to stay calm, professional, and trusted.

Now I help others do the same.
