About this Gig
A proofread is a final review of a work after it has been edited. I will examine your manuscript for grammatical errors, punctuation errors, typos, syntax issues, and word-choice issues. I will also develop a style sheet for your manuscript that will list relevant grammatical decisions and your personal preferences. I rely on open communication to ensure your stylistic decisions are strengthened by a proofread.

FAQ
Will my manuscript be free from errors after a proofread?
No editor can guarantee that a manuscript will be completely error free. However, I will work diligently to fix as many errors as I can and bring your manuscript up to the standard set by The Chicago Manual of Style.
What if my story has not been copyedited?
A proofread is a final review to catch any last errors in a manuscript. It is not as thorough as a copyedit. I strongly recommend a copyedit before a proofread. Message me if you still are not sure what your manuscript needs!
Will you fix any plot holes in my story?
I will not fix plot holes in a proofread. Plot holes and other big-picture issues can be corrected during a developmental edit. Click on my profile or message me if you are more interested in a developmental edit!
What do I do if I intentionally chose to play around with punctuation or grammatical conventions?
Let me know if you made any intentional choices in your manuscript that do not fit into the conventional rules of English. I will add your choices to the style sheet and check your manuscript for consistency.
Are there any genres you do not work with?
I do not edit horror or spicy scenes in any genre.
