What is the communication process like?
Messaging on Fiver is usually good enough but visio/facetime can be great for an introductory chat as well as discussing subtle or complex points about the project
How do I get my vision across?
A reference is worth a thousand words. A youtube link is a great way to show me the kind of sound palette you are looking for. You can also send me a link just for the drums, another one for the bass sound etc
