I will rebuild your slow wordpress frontend with astro and headless cms
Security Researcher and Full Stack Developer
About this Gig
Your WordPress site is slow. You've tried caching plugins, CDN, faster hosting, image optimization, delaying scripts. Nothing really fixed it.
The problem isn't your plugins. It's the architecture. WordPress renders every page on every visit.
I replace your frontend with Astro. Your WordPress stays as the CMS (you keep editing content exactly like before), but visitors get pre-built static pages from a global CDN.
The result:
- Perfect 100/100 Lighthouse scores, in real-world usage
- Sub-second page loads globally
- No more PHP overhead or database queries per visit
- Your team keeps using WordPress, zero retraining
- Free hosting
My stack: Astro 6, Tailwind CSS, Cloudflare Workers. Custom post types, ACF, custom fields all supported.
Ideal for: business sites, blogs, landing pages. Not a fit for: e-commerce or user login areas.

FAQ
Am I going to be able to add/edit/delete content ?
Of course. You will keep using your WordPress backend to add and edit your content. For content, only one plugin will be installed : ACF Pro and with that you will be edit texts, colours, images and everything you see on your frontend of your website.
Are my plugins going to work with this setup?
Frontend plugins (sliders, page builders) get replaced by Astro. Backend plugins (ACF, Yoast, contact forms via API) keep working. Send me your plugin list and I'll confirm what carries over.
Do I need to pay for hosting?
The Astro frontend deploys to Cloudflare Workers or Netlify, which has a generous free tier. Most sites pay nothing for hosting. You still need your WordPress hosting for the CMS backend, but you can downgrade it since it no longer serves visitors.
What happens when I publish new content?
When you update content in WordPress, a rebuild is triggered automatically. Your changes go live within minutes. No manual steps needed.
