Hello, I'm Björn, a German native. I have been doing transcriptions of old German handwriting since 2017, e. g. civil status documents, letters and diaries for genealogists. I have a lot of experience with texts from the 18th to the 20th century, but I can also offer transcriptions of older texts from the year 1500 onwards. I adhere to the transcription guidelines of the Archivschule Marburg.

You will get:

• a Word document with a transcript of your old German text (Sütterlin, Kurrent, Fraktur)
• a transcript that matches the original exactly to the letter
• explanations of abbreviations (as far as I can understand them)

Explanations of difficult and archaic German words (optionally in German or English) are available for an extra fee.
