About this Gig
Story-focused developmental, line, and copyediting at $0.07/word not punctuation-only proofreading.
Every issue includes:
- Original text
- Notes on what isn't working and why
- Suggestions on how to fix it
- Optional rewrite with suggestions applied
Feedback is delivered as a structured critique document, not inline edits. You'll understand not just what to change, but why so you can apply the same thinking to the rest of your manuscript.
Full-scope editing covering prose flow, dialogue, pacing, scene structure, show vs. tell, word choice, and clarity heavy punctuation correction is not included, as that is best handled at a dedicated proofreading stage.
The Basic package is a 1k test edit for new clients see my process before committing to larger sections. Custom offers available if your chapter falls between package sizes.
For orders above 1,000 words, message me first so I can confirm availability and make sure your manuscript gets the time it deserves.
A free optional consultation call is included after every delivery if you'd like to go over your feedback together. Just mention it in your requirements.

How do you deliver edits?
I provide a separate document with detailed notes, feedback, and suggestions so you can review changes at your own pace.
Can we discuss my edits in real time?
Yes — I offer optional live video calls after you've received your chapter's feedback so we can go through everything together. Just mention it in your requirements when you order.
What genres do you edit?
I specialize in fantasy, sci-fi, young adult, and LitRPG. I’m open to most genres except fan fiction.
How fast can you deliver?
Delivery caps are 5 days (1k), 7 days (2k), and 10 days (3k) — but most edits finish well under that. Heavier chapters naturally take longer than lighter ones, but I always prioritize getting your feedback out as soon as the edit is done right, not just done.
Do you work on projects over 3,000 words or full books?
Absolutely! If your work is over 3,000 words (or if you’re ready to commit to editing your full manuscript), I offer a separate gig for longer projects. You can find it here: see at the bottom of this page.
What file format should I send?
Please send your work in .doc or .docx format (Microsoft Word or Google Docs export). I provide edits and notes in a separate document, and PDFs make this process difficult because text doesn’t copy cleanly — formatting breaks, words may disappear, and comments can’t be added in the same way.
What if I disagree with your edits?
That’s fine—my goal isn’t to rewrite your story, but to highlight issues. If you disagree, explain why. A solid counterargument shows you’ve thought it through and are confident in that choice, which tells me it belongs in your story.
Will the chapter edit count toward a full manuscript project?
Yes. If you later decide to continue with a full manuscript edit, the cost of this chapter critique can be credited toward the total project price through a custom offer on my book editing gig.
