About this Gig

KiCad's free STEP export is great - until you open it in your enclosure CAD and half the connectors are missing or wrong. The USB-C that isn't there, the generic placeholder that's 2 mm taller than the real part: that's how enclosures get printed twice.

Send me your KiCad project (or gerbers + BOM). You get back a populated STEP and STL of your board with every component accounted for, and a model provenance table that tells you exactly where each model came from:

Vendor STEP models wherever the manufacturer publishes one. No vendor model? Mechanically critical parts (connectors, switches, anything an enclosure touches) get modeled from the engineering drawing - body, pins and mating face envelope-accurate. Generic models only for non-critical passives, and the table says so.

Nothing is ever silently omitted. If a part can't be modeled accurately, you'll know which one and why before you build around it.

The top tier adds a mechanical envelope check against your enclosure sketch or CAD: reach, clearances, tall parts, connector protrusion.

From the engineer behind the Board Check PCB review gig - mechanical surprises are half of what that service catches.
