What's in the reader report?
You'll receive a thoughtful reader report covering areas such as plot, pacing, characters, relationships, dialogue, descriptions, emotional impact, and overall reading experience. I'll also point out anything that confused me or pulled me out of the story.
Can I order beta reading for an unfinished manuscript?
Yes! If you'd like feedback on only a few chapters, an opening, or a work in progress, feel free to message me first so we can find the best option for your manuscript.
What is inline comment & why do you charge extra for it?
The inline comment option is an invitation into my reader's mind. I will comment my reactions, questions, predictions, highlight my favorite quotes, and all in real-time. It basically offers you a seat right next to me as I experience your story. This takes more time, therefore costs extra.
Do you provide editing or proofreading?
No. My service focuses on the reader experience rather than grammar correction or line editing. I'll let you know when something in the writing affects my reading experience, but I won't rewrite or proofread your manuscript.
Can I give you specific questions or things to focus on?
Absolutely! You can send me 5–7 questions or specific areas you'd like me to pay attention to, and I'll incorporate them into my feedback.
Will you read books longer than 100K?
Yes, but if your book is more than 100,000 words, please message me so we can do a custom order.
Do you read dark or potentially disturbing content?
Yes. I'm comfortable reading dark and mature themes, including content that may come with trigger warnings. If you are unsure about a particularly intense or unusual content, you're welcome to let me know beforehand.
Do you read steamy scenes?
Absolutely! The more, the merrier!
