FAQ
How long will it take for you to record my book?
I am currently able to record about 30 minutes per day, due to other ongoing projects, which means a 3 hour audiobook would take about 6 days, a 10 hour one would take 20, and so on. That already includes an internal revision process. That can be negotiated if you are in a hurry, of course.
Do you act out dialogue?
Unless asked not to, I will change my voice slightly to act out your characters' dialogues.
Can I make changes to my book while you are recording?
Once you send me your book and I start recording, I cannot make changes to anything that has already been recorded. This can be purchased separately as extra revisions after I send you the complete audiobook. When asking for a revision, please point out the exact track name and timecode as well.
What languages can you record in?
English (American and UK accents) and Brazilian Portuguese (São Paulo, Rio and Northeastern accents) with perfect fluency. Also short sentences or dialogues in Spanish, Italian and French (not 100% fluent).
Do you translate as well?
I sure do! From English into Portuguese and vice-versa (please check additional pricing).
Can you add music?
I sure can! I own a huge collection of royalty-free music, always keeping it fresh and updated. As my client, what's mine is yours!! Please check additional pricing per track.
What does your editing include?
Before sending you the complete audiobook, I will listen back to it for any mistakes or extraneous sounds and make the necessary adjustments. I will also master all files in compliance with ACX standards.
What doesn't your editing include?
I do not remove breath sounds, as it is incredibly time consuming when it comes to audiobooks. I would recommend hiring a separate sound engineer to do that for you if you so desire. Most buyers are ok with breath sounds in their audiobooks, especially but not limited to fiction books.
Can you just edit and master an audiobook narrated by someone else?
No, sorry. I am primarily a narrator and only offer editing and mastering as an extra to my own narrated projects.
