I will be your fiction beta reader

I accept almost anything when it comes to fiction, but there are exceptions. Things like extreme gore/torture, romanticizing pedophilia, overt modern political propaganda, etc. It is your responsibility to disclose content before ordering. Orders that violate this policy will be canceled.

Revisions on my orders are very rare. However, I do offer one for free. For the second revision and beyond, you will be charged a fee for each, with the amount depending on the size of your order and the extent of the revision.

They are generally 1-2 pages, depending on factors such as the length of the manuscript or the number of issues needing to be addressed in the report. I focus on broader issues and feedback in my beta reading reports, to keep things concise. For in-depth feedback, consider developmental editing.

This gig is for a report only, similar to what one might find as a thorough review on Amazon, except from an author/editor perspective. For a full developmental edit, check out my developmental editing gig! A development edit is much more in-depth than a beta read.

Most of my projects are full-length novels. To keep things simple, the price listed is based on the rate per 1,000 words. For example, if your manuscript is 101,450 words long, just multiply the rate by 102 to get your estimated total. Message me to confirm.

I do not currently accept memoirs.

I will not, for several reasons: Your book is likely already protected. I have a statement of confidentiality in my gig that covers sharing information. I would have to consult my lawyer, and his rates are unfortunately higher than mine. They simply aren't standard, and there's no need for them.

I do not use AI for any of my feedback gigs. You are paying for my professional advice, and that's what you'll receive.
