I will be your fiction copy editor and proofreader

I accept almost anything when it comes to fiction, but there are exceptions. Things like extreme gore/torture, romanticizing pedophilia, overt modern political propaganda, etc. It is your responsibility to disclose content before ordering. Orders that violate this policy will be canceled.

Revisions on my orders are very rare. However, I do offer one for free. For the second revision and beyond, you will be charged a fee for each, with the amount depending on the size of your order and the extent of the revision.

Most of my projects are full-length novels. To keep things simple, the price listed is based on the rate per 1,000 words. For example, if your manuscript is 101,450 words long, just multiply the rate by 102 to get your estimated total. Message me to confirm.

Good question. No one can seem to agree fully. However, I've found a couple of agreed upon differences: Copy edits are generally done first, followed by a proofread to catch remaining errors. More errors is a copy edit, while fewer is a proofread. Clear as mud, right? That's why I combined them.

I will not, for several reasons: Your book is likely already protected. I have a statement of confidentiality in my gig that covers sharing information. I would have to consult my lawyer, and his rates are unfortunately higher than mine. They simply aren't standard, and there's no need for them.

I use the modern tools available to help make my writing and editing more focused, consistent, higher quality, and efficient. However, I believe tools should be used as tools. To assist writers and editors with their work, not do it for them without input.
