FAQ
I don't speak any Japanese. Will I be okay?
Absolutely! Major cities and train stations have English signs. My itinerary includes tips on how to navigate easily, the best translation apps to download, and a few basic phrases to show respect to the locals.
Will you help me figure out the JR Pass and the bullet trains?
Yes! Navigating the Japanese transit system can be tricky. I will analyze your specific route to tell you if the Japan Rail (JR) Pass is actually worth the money for your trip, and provide simple instructions on how to use the Shinkansen (bullet trains).
I have tattoos. Can I still visit an Onsen (hot spring)?
Many traditional public Onsens prohibit tattoos. However, if you let me know in advance, I will specifically find tattoo-friendly Onsens or book accommodations that offer private hot spring baths (Kashikiri-buro) just for you.
Should I bring cash? Is tipping expected in Japan?
Tipping is NOT customary in Japan (it can actually be considered rude!). While credit cards are widely accepted now, Japan is still very cash-based for street food and small shops. My guide will include tips on where to easily withdraw money (like 7-Eleven ATMs).
Are the flight and hotel prices guaranteed?
Travel prices and availability fluctuate constantly. The deals I find are accurate at the time of delivery. I highly recommend booking everything immediately after receiving my PDF to lock in the prices
Will you book the flights and hotels for me?
No. For your financial security, I do not make any bookings on your behalf. I provide you with a detailed plan and direct, safe links so you can book everything yourself using your own credit card.
