What genres do you beta read?
I cover romance, dark romance, fantasy, science fiction, thriller, horror, cozy mystery, historical fiction, memoir, and general/literary fiction. If your genre isn't listed, message me first, I likely still cover it.
What's the difference between alpha reading and beta reading?
Alpha reading happen early, often on a rough or incomplete draft & focuses on big-picture story problems: plot, structure, character arcs. Beta reading happens on a more polished draft & focuses on how a real reader would experience the finished story, including pacing, engagement & emotional impact
Do you also proofread or copy edit?
Yes. While my core service in this gig is beta reading and manuscript critique, I offer copy editing, line editing and proofreading on a separate gig for clients who want both developmental feedback and clean, polished prose.
How long does it take to get feedback?
Turnaround depends on manuscript length and package tier. I'll always confirm an exact delivery date before we start.
What format should I send my manuscript in?
Word document (.docx) or Google Docs link preferred, so I can leave inline comments alongside your overall critique letter.
Do you critique query letters or synopses too?
Yes, as an add-on. If you're preparing to query agents, I can review your query letter and synopsis alongside your manuscript feedback.
Is my manuscript kept confidential?
Absolutely. Your work is yours, I don't share, repost, or use your manuscript for anything beyond the critique I provide you.
What if I need a second round of feedback after revisions?
I offer discounted follow-up reads for returning clients working through revisions, just message me when you're ready.
My manuscript is longer than your listed word count, can you still help?
Yes, message me before ordering with your word count and I'll send a custom quote and timeline.
