About this Gig
This developmental edit, regardless of the package selected, is meant to help authors understand the larger picture of their story before they dive deeper into specific line edits. Authors should select this edit in the earlier versions or steps of their writing, as this can be most helpful when figuring out a manuscripts goals and larger story arcs.
This is NOT for manuscripts that have undergone extensive editing of story elements and are fairly polished. Manuscripts at that stage are likely ready for copyediting or proofreading.
If you're not sure, please feel free to reach out for a consultation! All manuscripts will undergo a consultation process (2,500 words or less) to see if we're a good fit as an editing team.

Do you translate into any other languages?
No. I can only work with writing in English.
Do all of the packages come with follow-up guidelines after manuscript is returned?
Not necessarily --- only the Alchemist's (Standard) and Grand Work (Premium) packages come with a follow up opportunity. A 30 min call for the Alchemist's package and a week long follow up opportunity for the Grand Work package.
Is a consultation required?
Great question! Yes, a consultation is required before any contract is signed. In order for me (as the editor) and you (as the author) to know if this partnership is a good fit, I will review 2,500 words or less and give a sample of what can be expected during a potential partnership.
