I will design precision cad models and 3d printed engineering prototypes for you

About this gig
I run Catalyst R&D a one-operator engineering shop in Dallas, TX. I take parts from concept to CAD to physical prototype, doing the design and printing in-house so you don't have to coordinate between a designer and a print shop.
Tool stack: Fusion 360 for parametric CAD, Bambu Lab P2S with AMS for FDM printing across multiple materials. Tight tolerances, clean geometry, files ready for manufacturing.
What I deliver:
- Precision CAD models built in Fusion 360 (parametric, fully editable)
- 3D printed prototypes in PLA, PETG, ABS, TPU, or carbon fiber
- Manufacturing-ready exports: STEP, STL, IGES, or native Fusion 360
- Reverse engineering bring me a physical part and I'll model it
Good fits:
- Custom brackets, mounts, housings, and enclosures
- Mechanical assemblies and functional prototypes
- Parts designed for 3D printing, CNC, or injection molding
- Industrial components, fixtures, and jigs
Message me before ordering if your project has unusual geometry or tight tolerances. I'll tell you straight if it's in scope.

FAQ
Can you print and ship a physical part to me?
Yes — that's the Premium package. I print on a Bambu Lab P2S with tight quality control. Shipping within the US is included in the Premium price. International shipping is available at cost.
What materials can you print in?
PLA, PETG, TPU (flexible), and ABS. If you have a specific material need, message me and I'll let you know if I can accommodate it.
Can you modify an existing STL file I already have?
Yes. Send it over and tell me what changes you need. I can resize, repair mesh issues, add features, or remix it into something new.
I just have a rough idea — is that enough to start?
Absolutely. A napkin sketch, a photo of a similar product, or even a written description is enough. I'll mock up a concept and we'll refine from there.
