FAQ
What IS line editing, anyway?
My line editing service is meant to be a final polish for your story. I'll make sure your overall tone, mood, style, and word choice flows throughout the book. For me, line editing, copy editing, and proofreading are intertwined, so I use them all in my service.
How will I receive my project when it's done?
When I'm finished editing your project, I'll send you two files. One file will have all of the Tracked Changes made, so you can go through and approve each one. The second file will be a clean copy, with all of my changes applied.
What format should I send the file in?
I can edit in all versions of Microsoft Word documents (.doc, .docx, etc.), Open Office (.odt), Notepad files (.rtf), and on Google Docs. I prefer Microsoft Word!
Do you really edit everything manually?
YES! Editing programs rarely catch all errors and they often don't account for syntax and readability. I'm passionate about providing high-quality edits for my clients, so I read every word myself.
Do you outsource your work?
Absolutely not. When you order my Gig, you're trusting me with your written work. I take that very seriously, and I would never pass that on to someone else.
