Hi, my name is Joanna!
I am a Polish cellist and recording artist based in Helsinki. Ive been playing professionally since 24 years, got MA from Sibelius Academy (𝟲𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱) and did post grad as 𝗮 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗶𝘀𝘁 in Royal Academy of Denmark. I appeared on many albums and toured with such artists as 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗲𝗹 𝗕𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗲, 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗢𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮 and 𝗦𝗻𝗮𝗿𝗸𝘆 𝗣𝘂𝗽𝗽𝘆.

Do you need a cello recording for your new song?
Do you have a song or any music material which you want to boost or wow with cello or string section? I can record your given melodies, chords and etc. or compose and arrange everything up to a point where it sounds like an orchestra. Each of my packages is flexible and I am open to custom orders.
I use pair of AKG C414 XLS microphones and I work in English and Polish. PM me and lets do it!

FAQ
How many years of experience do you have?
I've been playing cello for the last 24 years. For the last 6 years I've been working full time as an online strings player and arranger. I've done more than 100 remote sessions for clients around the globe including established pop, rock, film music, Classical and Jazz composers
Which gear do you use?
I use high quality professional gear only! Microphones: 2 x AKG C414 XLS in combination with collection of my favorite soundcards and preamps.
Which strings can you record?
I record on all types of cellos. Baroque, classical, 5 strings, electric & prakticello. I have several instruments with different timbres for different purposes or layering. I can record cello solo or multi layered cello ensemble - and some of my cellos sound like a violin/viola!
What should I send you? Do you need a written part, or do you compose your own?
Send me description of project & the song that you want me to record in audio file or/and the cello score (+if you have a reference track, click BPM etc.) | I can do both, whatever works for you. I read sheet music&I can come up with my own ideas if that's the kind of workflow you want to go with.
What will I get from you?
If you have a song: I will send you my my cello track to review. End effect is the high quality dry cello track-wav 24 bit. Check my extras if you are interested in mixing and mastering.
Do you improvise?
Definitely yes!
Can you record a string quartet or any combination of string instruments?
Yes, because I live among top musicians who can record it with me on a short notice! Feel free to contact me to discuss this further.
Do you offer other services?
If you need a HQ video of a cellist playing to your project (video which you can commercially use) - you are asking the perfect person to do it! I have professional gear and years of experience to make and edit pro quality musical videos (it's my other job).
