What files and information should I send?
Please send all available photos, scans, meshes, STL files, measurements, critical dimensions, intended manufacturing process, and required output formats. Clear reference data helps me provide a more accurate result.
Can you create CAD from photos only?
Yes, for suitable parts. However, photos alone may not provide enough dimensional accuracy. At least one known dimension and multiple clear views are strongly recommended.
Can you convert an STL or mesh directly to STEP?
I usually rebuild the geometry as clean CAD rather than using a basic automatic conversion. The required method depends on the mesh quality, complexity, and intended manufacturing process.
Will I receive an editable source file?
Editable source files are included in the Standard and Premium packages. They can also be added to the Basic package as an extra.
Should I contact you before ordering?
Yes, especially for complex parts, cast components, assemblies, incomplete scans, or projects requiring tight tolerances. I will review the source data and confirm the appropriate scope.
