I will review manuscripts for sensitivity and authenticity

As a sensitivity reader (also known as an "authenticity reader") I provide reviews of manuscripts, scripts, and digital content to ensure accurate, authenticity, and nuanced representation of specific communities, cultures, and lived experiences. This role is not about "censorship," but about narrative precisionidentifying stereotypes, unintentional biases, or cultural inaccuracies that could alienate audiences or undermine the quality of the work.

I have experience providing detailed feedback for the following identities:

-Mexican American, Chicano/a

-Queer, Lesbian, Bisexuality

-Deaf/hard-of-hearing

-ADHD

-Anxiety (GAD, Social, and Panic disorder)

Clients can expect to receive annotated comments explaining why a passage may be problematic and offering suggestions for more authentic alternatives.
