My name is Dr. Corey Estelle and I am a Tenor and Voice Teacher! I hold three degrees in music and am always seeking to help others looking to improve their vocal technique! Some companies that I have worked with include: Bach Society Houston, Ars Lyrica Houston, Mercury Chamber Orchestra, The Opera Buffs Inc., Long Beach Opera, and Los Angeles Opera. Why do I not offer lesson packages for weekly lessons?
Many times people seek to have consistent voice lessons, however, life does get in the way and plans change. (Even for me!) I am not looking to reschedule lessons.
How do I schedule my coaching/lesson?
After making a purchase, I will supply you with a link to my google appointment booking calendar with my available times and you can select a time slot from there!
Why do I only offer Voice Coachings/Lesson via FarPlay (FarPlay.io)?
FarPlay (FarPlay.io) has excellent audio and video quality and a very accurate sync rate over the internet. FarPlay is available for both the Windows and Macintosh operating systems. This means you need to have either a desktop or laptop computer for this voice lesson.
Why do I have to buy my own sheet music?
There are many reason why you should purchase your own sheet music: 1. Ownership - Own your music, own your learning. 2. Purchasing - Learn how to find the right sheet music for you. 3. Library - Build your vocal repertoire catalogue. 4. Legality - We must comply with copyright laws.
Should I print my sheet music and/or have it electronically on a separate device from the one I am using for the voice lesson?
Yes! You can either print your sheet music or use it electronically. If using electronic sheet music, make sure it is on a separate device. Having your electronic sheet music and voice lesson software on a single device is not good for the learning process. This allows you to mark your music!
Do I need to be in a space where I feel safe to make noise and use my voice freely?
1,000% YES! The human voice is a part of the human body, including the brain! If you are attempting to use your true voice but are in a space where you feel judged and uncomfortable, you will never make progress. Plan ahead; secure a safe space for your lesson time in advance!!
