I will write clear technical documentation or a how to guide for your project
About this Gig
Most technical projects have documentation that's either missing, confusing, or written by someone who knows the product too well to explain it clearly to anyone else.
I write technical guides, tutorials, and documentation for developers, open-source projects, and small software teams. I understand Linux, Docker, networking, and systems administration -- so I can read your code or config, understand what it actually does, and explain it in a way that someone else can actually follow.
What that means in practice: clear steps, correct commands, and real explanations of what each step does and why -- not just "run this and hope."
Basic: A single focused guide or README section. Installation steps, a specific process, or a short how-to up to 600 words.
Standard: A full tutorial covering a complete workflow from start to finish, up to 1,500 words.
Premium: Multi-section documentation covering your whole tool or project, up to 3,000 words with consistent structure and formatting throughout.
Send me a message before ordering. Tell me what needs documenting, who the audience is, and what format you need it in. I'll confirm scope and timeline before you commit to anything.

FAQ
What information do you need from me to get started?
A description of what needs documenting, who will be reading it, and any existing material you have -- code, configs, rough notes, or a previous version of the docs. The more context you give me upfront, the less back and forth we need.
Do you need to understand the technical subject before you can write about it?
I have hands-on experience with Linux, Docker, networking, and systems administration, so if your project sits in that space I can hit the ground running. For subjects outside that area, I'll need you to walk me through it -- which is often worth doing anyway since it helps identify what actually n
What format will the documentation be delivered in?
Markdown by default, which works for GitHub READMEs, documentation sites, and most developer tools. If you need a different format -- plain text, Google Doc, Word -- just mention it when you message me.
Can you update or improve documentation I've already written?
Yes. Send me what you have and tell me what isn't working about it. Rewriting existing docs usually falls under the Standard or Premium tier depending on length.
What if my project is outside Linux and networking?
Message me before ordering and describe the subject. If it's something I can document accurately I'll say so. If it's outside what I can cover properly I'll tell you that too rather than take your money and deliver something subpar.
