I'll read your manuscript closely and give you a detailed developmental edit: where to push, where to pull back, what to expand, what's working, and what needs another look.

My focus is character, story, and narrative structure. I'm not a proofreader, so I won't comb your pages for comma splices, though I'll flag grammar that genuinely breaks the flow of a scene. What you get is an honest assessment of whether your characters are working, whether your story earns its turns, and where a reader's attention is likely to slip.

I read every manuscript at least three times, taking notes on each pass. The first is a straight read, the way any reader would come to it. The second and third are for structure, character, and closer detail. By the end you'll have an extensive written document covering everything I found, organised so you can act on it.

Most of my work is in fantasy, where I'm most at home, but I've edited widely across other genres.

I aim to be clear, specific, and useful. Vague feedback helps nobody. I'd rather tell you exactly what I think and let you decide what to do with it.
