What information do I need to provide before starting the order?
To ensure accurate structural modeling, I require finalized Architectural Floor Plans (DWG or PDF), elevations, sections, and the specific building code required by your local municipality (e.g., Eurocode, IBC, BS).
Do you provide a Professional Engineer (PE) stamp or signature?
No. I provide comprehensive, code-compliant structural calculations and detailing. If your local city council requires a PE stamp, you will need to submit my calculation reports to a locally registered engineer in your specific state or country for review and stamping.
What happens if I don't have a soil/geotechnical report?
For foundation design, a soil report is highly recommended. If you do not have one, I will design the foundation based on a conservative, assumed safe bearing capacity (e.g., 100 kN/m2 or local standard). Note: This assumption may result in a more conservative design.
How do you handle revisions?
I include [insert number, e.g., 1 or 2] minor revisions related to the structural design itself. However, if the Architect or Client changes the floor plan or building dimensions after the structural modeling has commenced, this constitutes a change in scope and will require a custom extra fee.
