What kind of information seller should share?
It totally depends upon the client or job and the nature of work or business. I usually demand Bank, Credit Card, Paypal & Payoneer Statements along with Sales, Purchases, Salaries, and other related information.
How do you ensure the accuracy of work delivered and how you categorize information without knowledge of business?
I use the financial information shared by the client to analyze the nature of the transaction but don't rely solely on the QuickBooks AI and transaction description. I arrange a call at the client's convenience to discuss the details of the work.
Do I need to share a QuickBooks access before placing the order?
Yes! It is mandatory as I need to see client's books for any errors or discrepancies before actually working on those. In the case, if there are some discrepancies in the books, I point them out before starting the work and rectify them if the client agrees.
How to give the access of my QuickBooks Online?
Login to your account > *click Gear icon on the right top > Manage Users > Accounting Firm > Invite > *enter the information
My Bank, Paypal and others are already connected to QuickBooks they why do you need separate statements?
I will need them for Reconciliation and posting the adjustments for bank charges and other fees properly.
What if you don't know the work?
I always discuss the details before the order and look into the client's books and if I can't do it, I say sorry without wasting the time.
