About this Gig
I provide real-time story strategy and editorial consultation via video for authors across speculative, genre, and literary fiction. If you're stuck on a plot point, questioning a character arc, or need an experienced sounding board, this session provides the clarity to move your draft forward.
My approach is collaborative and direct. We will dissect narrative beats, troubleshoot pacing, and workshop solutions to your structural challenges. This is a dedicated session to solve your specific story problems.
How it works:
- Choose your session length (see "Note on Pre-Read Limits" below).
- Submit your context (outline, synopsis, or pages up to your package limit).
- We meet via Zoom on Fiverr to strategize your roadmap.
Note on Pre-Read Limits: Word limits apply to the combined total of ALL submitted files (outlines, synopses, and notes). For extra background materials, select the $15/1k-word add-on or message me for a custom offer!

What if I need a custom word count or session duration?
If you need a word count or session time not listed in my packages, please message me before ordering. I am happy to provide a custom offer tailored to your specific needs.
Can we chat about my story even if I have no draft or pages to submit?
Absolutely. If you don't have a draft ready, we can use the time for high-level brainstorming, outline development, or world-building. I can offer a small discount if no pre-reading is required.
Do you provide line-editing or proofreading during these sessions?
No. These sessions focus on structural, narrative, and plot-based strategies. My focus is on helping you solve big-picture story issues rather than correcting grammar, punctuation, or line-level prose.
How does this differ from your beta reading and editing gig?
This is a real-time, interactive strategy session. If you want a full manuscript review, please head over to my developmental editing and beta-reading gig. As a thank-you, all my past editing and beta-reading clients receive a 10% discount on these strategy sessions for any project.
Do you offer sessions longer than 2 hours?
I limit individual sessions to a maximum of 2 hours to ensure we both stay focused and productive. If your project requires more time, we can arrange for ongoing, multi-session packages to ensure we thoroughly cover your narrative needs.
What if our session goes over time?
I keep an eye on the clock to ensure we stay on track. If we are in the middle of a breakthrough, I will generally allow for a few extra minutes at no cost, but I cannot guarantee extra time. If we need more, we can easily schedule a follow-up session.
What is your experience?
I’ve been a professional beta reader and editor on Fiverr since 2022, assisting 300+ clients and 200+ novels. I hold a B.A. in Creative Writing & English and am a professionally published author with multiple paid story credits, combining academic rigor with practical industry experience.
How does scheduling work?
The best way is to message me with your preferred day and time (M–F, 5–7 PM PST). I will send a custom offer to secure that slot. If you purchase a package directly, I will reach out as soon as possible to confirm our next available opening.
How does delivery work?
Your initial order delivery will confirm our scheduled time and include a few pre-chat notes based on your submitted text. After our video call, I will upload a recording of our session for your records, which formally completes the order.
How do these sessions run?
This is a writer-directed session. You come prepared with your questions, and I offer expertise based on the text you provided and your story goals. My aim is to help you develop your vision, not impose my own.
