About this Gig
As a former journalist working in a busy newsroom, I can say two things: 1) Most press releases are terrible, and 2) Most journalists will simply ignore terrible press releases.
Press releases are a great way to highlight your company's news, expertise, finding and launches in the media.
In this gig, I will write you a press release that will help you get seen and - hopefully - used by the media.
I say 'hopefully' because no writer or PR executive can guarantee a press release will be used. If they say they can, they are either working for a newspaper (great!) or lying (not so great...).
However, you can give journalists more of what they want in a release to steer them towards using it.
For you, I will write and format your release in a way that will give it a fighting chance to get seen and used.

FAQ
Can you distribute my release for me?
Sadly not. While I can write your release, I cannot distribute it for you. I can suggest where to distribute it, although you will probably already have an idea of local, national and international media that may cover your story.
How many words should I go for?
500 words is ideal. A busy journalist/reporter is unlikely to read anything more than this. If you need to convey more information or more complex ideas, then 800 words may be appropriate. However, if a journalist wants to know more about your story, they will contact you.
