About this Gig
Your manuscript doesnt need another pair of eyes. It needs someone who gets lost inside the story.
As your beta reader, I read for the moments that make me turn pages, fall for characters, question clues, feel the romance, or lose interest.
As a romance beta reader, I focus on chemistry, emotions, relationships, and romantic tension. As a mystery beta reader, I follow clues, suspense, twists, and reveals. As an alpha reader, I spot problems early. My manuscript critique turns genuine reader reactions into useful revisions.

FAQ
What genres can you beta read?
I can beta read any genre including fantasy, romance, fantasy romance, mystery, thriller, paranormal, YA, contemporary fiction and a lot more. I’ll approach your story according to its genre and intended reading experience rather than forcing it into a generic checklist.
Will you give me honest feedback?
Yes. I’ll be honest without being discouraging. If something feels confusing, slow, predictable, rushed, or emotionally weak, I’ll explain why and suggest ways you could strengthen it.
Will you tell me what you genuinely felt while reading?
Absolutely. I believe genuine reader reactions are incredibly valuable. I’ll share where I felt excited, curious, emotional, confused, surprised, connected, or where the story lost my attention.
Do you provide a detailed manuscript critique?
Yes. My manuscript critique focuses on the overall reading experience, including plot, pacing, characters, structure, emotional impact, and areas that may need strengthening.
Can you beta read a romance novel?
Yes. As your romance beta reader, I’ll look closely at chemistry, emotional connection, relationship development, romantic tension, character motivations, and whether the romance feels believable.
Can you beta read mystery novels?
Definitely. As a mystery beta reader, I’ll pay attention to clues, suspense, pacing, twists, red herrings, reveals, and whether the mystery keeps me genuinely curious.
What is the difference between an alpha reader and a beta reader?
An alpha reader typically reads an earlier version and helps identify major story issues during development. A beta reader gives feedback on a more developed manuscript from a reader’s perspective. I can provide either perspective depending on your needs.
Will you criticize my writing harshly?
No. My goal isn’t to make you feel bad about your story. I’ll point out weaknesses respectfully while also highlighting what is already working so you know what to protect during revisions.
Will you tell me if something feels boring?
Yes, and I’ll explain where my attention dropped and why. Honest reactions like these can help you discover places where your reader may need stronger tension, pacing, emotion, or momentum.
Can you tell me if my characters feel realistic?
Yes. I’ll consider whether their actions, emotions, relationships, motivations, and development feel convincing and whether I became emotionally invested in them.
