I will create a custom SolidWorks mold design based on your part geometry, production method, and required deliverables.
Depending on the package, your project may include a mold cavity, core and cavity split, parting line, alignment features, pouring channels, vents, sprue or runner concepts, assembly files, and export formats such as STEP, STL, or PDF drawings.
Each design is prepared around the information you provide, including dimensions, material, shrinkage allowance, machine limits, and expected production process.
This service covers CAD design and design documentation. Mold fabrication, machining, simulation, tooling validation, and guaranteed production performance are not included unless specifically agreed before ordering. Yes. I can design simple silicone-casting molds, two-part molds and preliminary injection-mold CAD. Because injection molds are significantly more complex, please contact me before ordering so I can review the part and confirm the scope.
Can you work from a sketch or reference image?
Yes, provided the sketch or image includes enough information to understand the shape and dimensions. Complex parts may require a complete 3D product model before mold design can begin.
Which files will I receive?
Available formats may include SolidWorks part and assembly files, STEP, STL and PDF drawings. The exact formats depend on the package and should be confirmed before the order begins.
Will the mold be ready for mass production?
Production readiness depends on the material, molding machine, tooling standards, tolerances, shrinkage, cooling, gating, ejection and manufacturer requirements. I can prepare the CAD around supplied specifications, but final production validation must be completed with the selected manufacturer or
