Are you a native English speaker?
Yes! I was raised in Canada, and I studied Comparative Literature in the UK.
How exactly does this process work?
1. You send me a message with your project details (word count, genre, basic premise) and some sample pages. 2. I review the sample pages, and if we're a fit, I send you a custom offer. 3. I edit your book and deliver the order. 4. You review my in-line edits and comments. 5. Revision time!
What is a revision?
A revision is me checking over what you've changed based on my initial feedback. My revision policy will be included with the delivery to explain what is and is not included in a revision, but if you'd like to see it earlier, just ask!
Do you use any AI tools to edit?
I do not use any automated tools (like Grammarly or ProWritingAid) or Generative AI to edit your work. I firmly believe you are hiring me as a human editor! All of my edits and comments are 100% done by me - and only me!
Do you edit AI-generated or AI-edited books?
No. I do not work on any projects that have involved Generative AI in any capacity (whether it's for story development, language refinement, text generation, translation, or anything else).
Can you edit with British English?
Of course! I am comfortable working with US, Canadian, British, and Australian English. This includes spelling, slang, and grammar differences.
Do you do custom orders?
Yes! Most of the projects I take on are custom orders. Just send me a message about your work (including the word count), and I will make you an offer. I have edited short stories, novellas, and novels of more than 100 000 words.
Can you edit my book faster?
It depends on my schedule, but you can always ask! I may charge an extra fee if I'm able to accommodate your desired turnaround time.
