About this Gig
If you are struggling to understand Russian or Polish language birth certificates, death certificates, marriage certificates, family letters, journal entries, or other assorted writings, I can help! Please write to me before sending a project - I have provided a basic pricing template for auto-orders, but prices and delivery time will vary depending on the individual document: I charge according to how long a project will take me, which is mostly affected by legibility. Send me a representative image of your document(s) and I will let you know how much I will charge and how long it will take me.
This gig is targeted at people researching Polish genealogy, but I also work in other Slavic languages, including Ukrainian, Czech, Serbo-Croatian, Bulgarian, and similar languages and dialects. I will carry out linguistic research for dialects or languages I am less familiar with. However, I can only read a little Yiddish. I can often understand signatures or stray words in Yiddish, but do not have the ability to work with primarily Yiddish-language texts. Again, write to me with information about your specific project, and I will let you know if it is something I can do.

FAQ
Can you help me find genealogical papers?
I don't usually do this kind of research, but I am sometimes open to helping locate certificates or papers depending on the specifics of the request and the time I have available. Ask me with the details of your case for my answer.
What if my document is not genealogical in nature?
That is fine! Most of my clients are researching their ancestry, but I am also happy to work on other things. Write with your specific details.
What if my document is in Latin?
I can do that too!
