Do you use AI to read or review manuscripts?
No. Your manuscript is read entirely by me. I do not use AI to read, analyse, critique, or generate feedback on your story. Every comment, observation, and reader reaction comes from my personal reading experience.
I'm a first-time author. Is this service right for me?
Absolutely. Whether you're writing your first book or your tenth, honest reader feedback can help you identify strengths, spot potential issues, and approach revisions with greater confidence.
Is my manuscript kept confidential?
Yes. Your manuscript remains confidential and will never be shared, published, or used without your permission.
Do you work with unfinished or rough drafts?
As an alpha reader, I can review early drafts and provide feedback to help shape your story before it is fully developed.
What kind of feedback will I receive?
You'll receive honest feedback on areas such as plot, pacing, characters, reader engagement, story flow, dialogue, and any sections that may feel confusing, slow, or predictable. My goal is to help you understand how readers may experience your story.
Can you read manuscripts longer than your package limits?
Yes. If your manuscript exceeds the package word count, send me a message and I'll create a custom offer based on the length of your manuscript and the level of feedback required.
Is beta reading the same as editing?
No. Beta reading focuses on the reader's experience. I'll share my thoughts on what works, what feels unclear, where readers may lose interest, and areas that could be strengthened. Beta reading is different from proofreading or line editing.
Can I tell you what I'd like you to focus on?
Yes. If you'd like extra attention on specific areas such as pacing, romance development, characters, worldbuilding, or plot consistency, let me know when placing your order and I'll keep those areas in mind while reading.
