I will line edit your Manuscript so that every sentence belongs there, every word is pulling its weight, and every idea is crystal clear. If your writing is weak, wordy, confusing, or inconsistent, your readers will have a hard time getting and staying engaged with your story. Our goal is to avoid that by strengthening your sentences to improve flow and readability. Let's make them mean what you meant them to mean.
I will check your Young Adult or Fiction Manuscript for:
- · Inconsistencies
- · Run-on sentences

- · Weak words and verbs
- · Confusing narration and dialogue
- · Unnecessary words or sentences
I will provide you:

FAQ
Will you rewrite my text?
No, I won't. I will use track changes on the side of the document to offer suggestions for improvements that you may, or may not choose to implement yourself.
How many types of Editing are there?
There are 5 types of editing, in this order: Developmental Edit (plot & story). Structural Edit (pacing & chapter order). Line Edit (sentence flow, clarity & meaning). Copy Edit (grammar & spelling). Proofread (last check for corrections before publication). I offer the last 3 on my profile.
What type of Editing do I need for my manuscript?
Ideally, all of them. Realistically, as many as you can afford, or as many as you cannot afford to skip out on. If you're not sure Line Editing is what you need right now, message me and I will help you identify any issues with your manuscript & the type of editing it will benefit the most from.
What's the difference between Line Editing & Copyediting?
Line Editing looks at your writing and makes sure you're conveying your ideas to the reader in a clear and concise way. Copyediting looks at your writing and makes sure it's grammatically correct, consistent and comprehensible. Line Editing takes place before Copyediting.
What's the difference between Copyediting & Proofreading?
Copyediting corrects grammar and spelling errors to make sure your text is grammatically correct. Proofreading comes after Copyediting, and checks everything´s alright and makes sure the Copy Editor didn't miss anything -big or small. And if they did, to let you know so they can fix it.
Will you line edit my NA / Adult / Erotica manuscript?
My priority is YA, but you can send me a message with details about your story (without spoilers, like a query or a blurb), as well as genre and word count, and we can talk about it.
What formats do you accept manuscripts in?
I work with Word documents (.doc / .docx) and PDF files.
Is my manuscript safe with you?
Yes. You own the rights (copyright) to your manuscript/book/novel from the moment you put it into written words. Sharing it with me won't change that. I will keep your manuscript safe and won't share it or talk about it with anyone else.
What genres do you LIKE to read in YA?
Romance and Contemporary are my top favorites. But I also like: Fantasy, Historical, Dystopian, Urban Fantasy, Magical Realism, Paranormal, Supernatural, Crime, Mystery, and Sci-Fi. The key for me is to have some level of romance in every story, as a main plot or a subplot. I just love it!!
What genres do you NOT like to read?
I don't read Horror, Psychological, or Space Opera. In both YA and Adult fiction. I also don't read Non-Fiction.
