Do the gig prices (price per word) always apply?
The "per-word prices" quoted in the gig are approximate. The final price depends not only on the number of words, but also on the complexity and type of text. Therefore, please contact me in advance so that I can provide you with a custom offer.
Do you offer other Gigs than proofreading German texts?
Yes, I also offer translations from English to German as well as translations from Spanish to German and Chinese to German.
What is the proofreading process like?
Once you've placed an order, I get to work. I track all edits, so you can accept or reject as needed, and I leave comments with more complex feedback. Once I'm done, I deliver the order and will be available afterward for any questions. You can also request updates or particular editing standards.
Which file types do you work with? .
My preferred file types are text files, like .docx and .pages. I only work with PDFs if they're under 1,000 words long. Spreadsheets are acceptable, although we may need to discuss edit tracking methods.
What do you need to correct my website/shop?
I need your: - URL of the website - please tell me which subpages I should correct (the whole website or only certain pages...?) - Should "you" be translated as "Sie" or "du"?
