Why is your service different from regular translation gigs?
Regular translation just swaps words. Japanese characters have completely different visual weights and spacing rules compared to English. As a professional Art Director, I don't just translate; I meticulously adjust fonts, tracking, and leading to ensure your brand's aesthetic, negative space etc.
Do I need to provide the Japanese translation, or do you translate it from English?
I handle both! I will translate (transcreate) your English text into natural, high-end Japanese, and then seamlessly integrate it into your design layout. If you already have a Japanese translation, let me know—I can focus purely on the typography and layout adjustments.
What source file formats do you accept?
I am highly proficient in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and MS PowerPoint. Please provide the fully editable source files (including links and original fonts if possible) so I can perfectly adjust the typography and kerning.
