I am a full-time professional copyeditor with a BA in professional writing. I have worked on a wide variety of fiction genres, including romance, science fiction, fantasy, and young adult.
I offer three levels of editing varying in price and attention, so you can pick what works for you and your story! If you just want to clean up the grammar and punctuation, choose copyediting. If you want to improve your writing and tell the story in a more engaging way, choose line editing. If you need another set of eyes to analyze the plot and give recommendations to make the book ready for publication, choose developmental editing. Or pick all three for a complete editing package and a custom discount rate on each service!
Revision is an essential part of the writing process, but it doesn't have to be painful! I will preserve your unique voice and help you reach your publishing goals.

What's the difference between line editing and copy editing?
Line editing is a happy middle ground between developmental editing and copy editing. While copyediting is focused on grammar, consistency, and accuracy, line editing analyzes the writing from sentence to sentence to improve the writing. Neither involve changing the plot or the core story.
Why do I need developmental editing?
Developmental editing is essential if you want your work to be the very best it can be! As your editor, I offer ways you can improve your plot, characters, and pacing from a professional perspective. It is a form of creative collaboration!
How can I tell what type of editing I need?
Editing depends on your publishing goals. If you're self-publishing, you'll need to do all three types of editing at some point in the process. If you're querying, I'd recommend getting some developmental feedback on the story and line editing to help the writing.
