What is the difference between a line edit and copyedit? Which do I need?
A copyedit focuses on typos and errors for grammar, punctuation, and spelling, and it's ideal for final drafts that need to be perfect. A line edit includes copyedits, but goes deeper to address things like clarity, flow, and sentence structure. It's ideal for first drafts that need a bit of help!
What is a developmental edit? How is it different from line and copyedits?
A developmental edit a full-service edit that takes a rough draft and makes it truly shine. It includes copyedits and line edits (see the other FAQ), but it also provides deep structural edits and targeted feedback to transform your work into something truly special. One revision included!
Do you offer revisions?
Yes, I offer one revision with premium developmental editing package. I will request that you leave Track Changes turned on so that I can see your revisions!
Do you provide samples of your work?
Yes, I do! You can see a few sample images up above on my page here, or if you prefer, you can send me an approximately 250 word sample of your document and I will edit it so that you can get a sense of what I offer.
