Definitely! My goal is to help you in whatever way you need, and you know your work better than anyone else after all. Just let me know what pain points you're looking to address before we get started.
Will it really take 30 days to read my work and give me feedback?
It's a maximum. To give you my best, I rotate projects to avoid genre fatigue. I always want to be looking at your characters with fresh eyes and the focus they deserve. I often deliver early, but I never rush the process.
Will you point out typos and grammar issues?
Alpha reading focuses on the bigger picture stuff. There's no point fixing grammar and spelling if entire paragraphs might be cut in service of the story. As such, this service is not a substitute for editing, a final line edit or a proofread.
My work has adult scenes/language/themes, can you work with me?
Absolutely! There's no trigger warning list that's ever deterred me, and I'm not sensitive to language or dark themes.
How do you feel about AI?
I feel strongly that readers want to read works written by other humans, not regurgitated AI slop. If you've written your novel with generative AI, I won't be able to assist in any capacity. I will also never use generative AI to analyze or critique a work. 100% human feedback here, always.
