About this gig
I will check if the theme and extensions (apps/plugins) are ready for an update. If the theme or extensions are not compatible with the latest version of Shopware, then I will discuss the existing possibilities with you (disable extension or install an alternative extension).
After that I make a backup of all files and the database on the server (if necessary locally on my computer) and then update Shopware to the latest version.
To be able to make a backup, I need SSH or FTP, MySQL and Shopware administration access.

How long does it take to make the backup?
A backup on the server via SSH usually takes less than 30 minutes. A local backup on my computer via FTP can take several hours, depending on the size of the web store.
Is it possible to update from Shopware 5 to Shopware 6?
No, it is not. Shopware 6 is a product that has been completely redesigned from the scratch and is based on a different technical framework. For this reason, a migration is necessary instead of a major update from Shopware 5.
